About Us
PASAN is a community-based Harm Reduction/HIV/HCV organization that provides support, education, and advocacy to, for and with individuals whose current realities are impacted by the justice system and people who were previously incarcerated.
History
In 1991 PASAN was formed as a grassroots response to the HIV crisis in Canada’s prison system. Today, PASAN strives to provide community development, education and support to person’s currently impacted by the justice system and those who were previously incarcerated in Ontario regarding: HIV, Hepatitis C (HCV), overdose prevention, and other harm reduction issues. PASAN is the only community-based organization in Canada exclusively providing HIV and HCV prevention, education, and support services to persons impacted by the justice system, previously incarcerated and their families.

PASAN is a place where prisoners matter.
We support and advocate with communities disproportionately affected by incarceration, focusing on prison health, harm reduction, HIV and hepatitis C.
At PASAN, no one is left behind, and nobody fails.

How to get involved
Volunteers
At PASAN, we are always looking for volunteers to help sustain our work. We are always in need of volunteers to help with:
- Administration/Reception - answering phone, preparing mail and other office related tasks.
- Fundraising – research to support funding applications, assistance with funding applications, research
- Program Evaluation
- Event planning
