For Community Partners
Overview
PASAN works with organizations throughout Ontario to reduce the barriers that incarcerated and formerly-incarcerated people encounter when accessing housing, social services and health care.
Our partners include community-based organizations, community health centres and other social service agencies for whom we provide training that build capacity around prison health and harm reduction issues.
We support organizations with their applications for prison clearance, and through challenges and barriers navigating the system, all with the goal of strengthening low-barrier service networks and pathways for incarcerated and formerly-incarcerated people.
PASAN works with organizations throughout Ontario to reduce barriers prisoners and ex-prisoners often encounter when accessing housing, social services and health care.
Federal Prison Health Network
PASAN's Federal Health Network is a bimonthly webinar series for service providers focusing on prison health and harm reduction.
Each webinar features a different organization working with (ex)prisoners to highlight some of the services they provide and discuss an issue impacting their clients. These webinars are for service providers to share knowledge and strengthen links with other agencies across the country who offer services related to prison health and harm reduction.
PASAN's Federal Health Network hopes to support pathways being developed for organizations on a municipal, provincial, and federal level for easier referrals and connecting Prisoners to health and harm reduction supports they need.
