Federal Prison In-reach, Education and Support

Description

The Federal Program provides harm reduction, HIV and  Hep C education and support to prisoners in Ontario’s federal institutions to ensure access to information, physical, emotional and spiritual support that improves the health and well-being for people who use drugs and those living with HIV/HCV. 

We offer: 

• One-on-one support
• HIV and Hep C prevention education workshops
• Integrated support with prison health educators

This holistic framework provides a robust community response to the HIV and HCV issues prevalent in federal prisons. It was created from the ground-up in meaningful partnership with incarcerated people, and extends to all prisoners in need of support around health, well-being and harm reduction issues.
