Harm Reduction Outreach, 
Resources and Education

Description

Established in 2018, our Harm Reduction Program provides low-barrier and trauma-informed employment to Peer Outreach Workers with lived experience of incarceration, drug use, HIV and HCV. 

Our outreach team works in Toronto’s downtown east side, and provides: 

  • Peer counseling
  • Referrals
  • Harm reduction supplies (eg. safer drug use kits and naloxone kits)
  • On-site naloxone training 
  • Distribution of snacks, beverages, socks, hats, gloves and scarves to community members (in winter months

We also offer organizational overdose prevention workshops and naloxone training  for service providers, and overdose prevention programming for incarcerated people at the Toronto South Detention Centre.
